     William Alfred Thompson was born in 1838 at Lincoln County, Tennessee; Joy Russell information has birth information of May 1842. His tombstone indicates 1830. The 1840 and 1850 censuses indicate the more likely death date is 1838 as is on the 1850 census. I also have a death date of aug 1842.
