He worked at Standard Register for 25 years as a collator. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Treat; a brother, Clyde Treat; and a greatniece, Gabrielle Treat.
Survivors include a son, Billy and his wife, Sarah Treat of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kimberly Treat of the home and Cynthia Burnett and her husband, John of Springdale; father, Sherman and his wife, Opal Treat of Cave Springs; a brother, Leon and his wife Gerene Treat of Gravette; three sisters, Patsy Goodman and her husband, Lin of Green Forest, Johnnie Woods and her husband, Roy of Springdale and Carolyn Thompson and her husband, James of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Maxine Treat of Springdale; seven grandchildren, Chelsey, Alex, Jeffery, Ashley, Shelby Treat and Molly and Trey Burnett; and several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include a son, Billy Treat of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kimberly Treat of the home, and Cynthia Burnett of Springdale; his father and wife, Opal, of Cave Springs; a brother, Leon Treat of Gravette; three sisters, Patsy Goodman of Green Forest, Johnnie Woods of Springdale, and Carolyn Thompson of Fayetteville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. James Goff officiating. Burial will be at Burks Shed Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Beard's Chapel.
Ruth Janie Harriet Lawrence died before Sherman Treat but was mentioned in Sherman Treat's obituary as a deceased first wife.

SHERMAN TREAT
Sherman Treat, 88, of Rogers died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, in Rogers. He was born Sept. 5, 1916, in Big Flat to William Mason and Margie Barncscum Treat. He attended the Assembly of God and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Treat; two sons; 12 siblings; and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Treat of the home; a son, Sherman Leon Treat of Gravette; three daughters, Patsy Goodman of Green Forrest, Johnnie Woods of Springdale and Carolyn Thompson of Fayetteville; five stepchildren, Melvin McDonald of Cave Springs, Thomas McDonald and Wanda Napier, both of Grove, Okla., Betty Hawkins of Bentonville and Becky Missildine of Clovis, N. M.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Treat, Bill Treat, Patrick Woods, Mike Goodman, Tim Goodman and Michael Thompson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Raymond Martin officiating.
